BCA Gallery:
A Milestone For Singapore’s Built Environment

Visitors to the BCA Gallery will experience an interactive journey of Singapore's building development through the years and gain insights into BCA’s integral role in shaping a safe, sustainable, high-quality and friendly built environment now and for the future.
The new BCA Gallery is a showcase of the development of Singapore’s built environment. The four key pillars of an excellent built environment, namely, safety, quality, sustainability and friendly, are highlighted collectively in this multi-sensory treat of interactive exhibits, model showcases and pull-out panels. |
The Gallery is sub-divided into three zones according to three distinct themes:
- Zone 1 - Dimensions of Growth
- Zone 2 - Building for Safety and Excellence
- Zone 3 - Towards Our Vision
The Gallery tour opens with the first theme of “Dimensions of Growth” by revisiting Singapore’s built environment from the early beginnings. Zone 1 showcases the development of the built environment from the post-war period to the present and how it has impacted society, economy and the use of technology.
Transition to zone 2 is seamless with visitors being enticed with interesting presentations of the nuts and bolts of the construction process from scratch to finish.
The two themes then culminate into a finale array of panels and interactive displays of the latest technology for the built environment. Here, focus is pulled onto the future. We see an integration of ideas and innovations that goes into the shaping a safe, high-quality, sustainable and friendly built environment for Singapore.
The tour adjourns to the outdoor sensory garden.
