Launch of the Third Land Parcel Tender for the Development of an Integrated Construction and Precast Hub (ICPH)

Background

To steer the industry towards raising productivity, BCA had worked with various government agencies to formulate a masterplan for the development of multi-storey and higher density Integrated Construction and Precast Hubs (ICPHs) on land with 30-year lease term.

Besides housing production and storage of precast concrete components, these ICPHs could be used for other suitable construction-related activities, such as prefabrication of components, storage and maintenance of formwork, storage and maintenance of construction plant, equipment and machinery, foreign workers dormitory, etc.

Third Land Tender for ICPH

BCA has launched the third land parcel tender for the ICPH through GeBIZ, the procurement portal for the Government, ministries and departments of Government and statutory boards at www.GeBiz.gov.sg. Interested Parties can download the tender documents via GeBIZ.

The site is at Airport Road and the closing date for tender is 4.00p.m on 28 January 2015. Tenders submitted would be evaluated based on a Concept and Price approach (2-Envelope system).

Fourth Land Tender for ICPH

There is another upcoming launch of the fourth land parcel tender at Airport Road through GeBIZ. This tender will include a requirement of both Precast Concrete Components Production and Pre-fabricated Pre-finished Volumetric Construction (PPVC) modules production as part of the development usage. Tenders submitted would be evaluated based on a Concept and Price approach (2-Envelope system). Further details will be announced at a later time.

Funding under Construction Productivity and Capability Fund

Under BCAs Construction Productivity and Capability Fund (CPCF), the Productivity Improvement Projects (PIP) Scheme encourages companies to carry out projects that will build up their capability and improve their work processes to achieve higher productivity gains.

Precasters can seek funding under the PIP for the upgrading of production lines or other work processes.
