Benefits
Vacation Leave
- 18 days of annual leave for Division 1 and 2 officers with less than 10 years service, 21 days for more than 10 years service
- 14 days of annual leave for Division 3 officers with less than 10 years service, 18 days for more than 10 years service
Medical Leave
- 14 days of outpatient sick leave and up to 60 days if hospitalised
Child Sick/Childcare Leave
- Married officers are entitled to paid leave of 5 days for each child to look after their sick child below 12 years of age,
subject to a maximum of 15 days per year
- Officers with a Singapore Citizen child below 7 years old will be able to take 6 days out of their existing child sick leave
eligibility for the year to spend time with their young children
Unpaid Infant Leave
- Married officers with a Singapore Citizen child below 2 years old will be able to take 6 days of unpaid infant care leave per year
Maternity Leave
- A married female officer who has been in service for at least 90 days will be eligible for 16 weeks of paid maternity leave,
subject to qualifying criteria
Paternity Leave
- A married male officer will be eligible for 3 days of paternity leave on the occasions of the birth of his first four children
Marriage Leave
- An officer will be eligible for 3 days of marriage leave on the occasion of their first marriage
Exam/Study Leave
- Officers who have minimum 3 months of service may be grant up to 12 days unrecorded leave per calendar year to prepare and sit
for examinations of part-time study courses, subject to approval
Compassionate Leave
- 3 days of full-pay unrecorded leave to be granted to officers for the death of their immediate family members
and 2 days in the event of the death of their grandparents
Medical and Dental Benefits
In addition to the prevailing CPF contribution towards Medisave, officers will receive an additional
Medisave contribution of 1% of their gross salary, in lieu of hospitalisation benefits. Officers are encouraged to buy insurance
to cover their hospitalisation needs.
- For outpatient treatment at BCA panel clinics and government outpatient clinics, officers pay 15% of the expenses and
dependents of officers pay 40%. The maximum outpatient subsidy for an officer and his/her dependents is $350 per calendar year
- The maximum outpatient subsidy at private clinics is $10 per visit
- Officers are reimbursed 50% of the dental expenses per visit up to a maximum of $100 per calendar year
Health Screening
All Officers with at least one year of service will be eligible for health screenings (subsidised at 85%) at the appointed
health screening clinic. The health screening package eligible depends on age, working environment and appointment of the officers.
Flexible Benefits
All Officers with more than one year of service will be eligible for Flexible Benefits up to a quantum of $400 per
calendar year.
