SENIOR DEVELOPMENT OFFICER
(ASIA PACIFIC DEPARTMENT, INTERNATIONAL DEVELOPMENT DIVISION)

You will play a major role in assisting our local construction-related firms to expand their business overseas, especially in East Asian and Southeast Asian region. You will be responsible for planning and implementing business development and international outreach programmes for a particular country or region. This will include gathering business intelligence, creating market awareness, facilitating project meetings and negotiations, and promoting BCA's services overseas. Suitable candidates can be considered for higher post. Frequent travel is required.

Requirements

  • A degree in any engineering discipline, architecture, building, economics or equivalent.
  • At least 3 - 5 years related experience, preferably in business development related to construction and engineering.
  • Strong writing, communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Creative and able to multi-task in a fast-paced environment.
  • Ability to read and speak Indonesian, Vietnamese or any regional language is an added advantage.


SENIOR DEVELOPMENT OFFICER
(MANPOWER PLANNING DEPARTMENT, MANPOWER & STRATEGIC POLICY DIVISION)

You will assist in the formulation and implementation of manpower development policies and programmes to build a professional and progressive workforce in the building and construction sector. Specifically, you will formulate and implement:

  • Policies and measures to ensure adequate supply of workforce from managerial and professional levels to the tradesmen level
  • Policies and programmes to raise the quality, competency and professionalism of the workforce.

  • Requirements

    • A degree in a construction-related discipline.
    • At least 3 years of relevant working experience in the building and construction sector and have a good understanding of industry practices.
    • Strong analytical skills.
    • Good communication skills, both written and spoken.


    (SENIOR DEVELOPMENT OFFICER)
    (CONSTRUCTION PRODUCTIVITY CENTRE)

    You will have the opportunities within the Construction Productivity Centre to experience the regulatory and promotional functions of BCA. The key areas of emphasis are buildability, precast construction, constructability, new construction technologies and innovations. You will be given the opportunities to (a) assist in formulating regulatory requirements and carry out compliance checks relating to buildability and constructability; (b) understand trends of technology adoption and construction site productivity; and (c) promote new technologies/products that help to enhance productivity. There are opportunities for self development through training both locally and overseas.

    Requirements

    • Engineering degree in civil/structural.
    • At least 3 years of working experience.
    • Strong interpersonal relationship, good writing and communication skills
    • Outgoing and able to communicate with industry effectively.
    • Those with site, design or costing experience will have an added advantage.


    SENIOR HR OFFICER
    (HR AND ADMIN DEPARTMENT, CORPORATE DEVELOPMENT DIVISION)

    You will be responsible for the full cycle of recruitment which includes advertising, screening, interviewing of candidates to managing of on-boarding processes, tracking of employment contracts and conducting exit management.

    Requirements

    • A good degree; a graduate diploma in HR would be an advantage.
    • At least 3 years of working experience in a HR role.
    • Good interpersonal and communication skills.
    • Ability to multi-task and undertake pressure in a fast-paced environment.


    SENIOR COMMUNICATIONS OFFICER (Post 1)
    (COMMUNICATIONS DEPARTMENT, CORPORATE DEVELOPMENT DIVISION)

    You will be part of a dynamic team to plan and execute corporate communications work, including media management, corporate relations, preparation of speeches, publication of corporate magazine and annual report, internal communication as well as developing and managing the corporate website.

    Requirements

    • A degree in mass communications or equivalent.
    • At least 3 - 5 years related experience, preferably in corporate communications work.
    • Strong writing, communication and interpersonal skills.
    • Dynamic, self-motivated and a team player.
    • Creative and able to multi-task in a fast-paced environment.
    • Resourceful with good organizational and planning skills, and an eye for detail.


    SENIOR COMMUNICATIONS OFFICER (Post 2)
    (COMMUNICATIONS DEPARTMENT, CORPORATE DEVELOPMENT DIVISION)

    You will be part of a dynamic team to plan and execute communications work, including public outreach/partnership programmes, exhibitions, campaigns, events and developing promotional collaterals and multi-media. In this position, you will play a pivotal role in managing the BCA Gallery and the Zero Energy Building (ZEB) Visitor Centre, which are key platforms for public outreach. With the support of the team, you will plan programmes, manage the visits and explore creative ways to enhance the exhibits and content for the gallery and the ZEB visitor centre. It will be your job to stay on top of the various programmes and translate them into successful outcomes.

    Requirements

    • A degree in business/communications/social sciences/marketing or relevant.
    • At least 4 years experience in public relations/communication/marketing.
    • Able to strategise, lead and plan communications projects.
    • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
    • Able to work independently and a good team player.
    • Positive attitude.


    TECHNICAL OFFICER
    (SOUTH ASIA & MIDDLE EAST DEPARTMENT, INTERNATIONAL DEVELOPMENT DIVISION)

    You will play a role in assisting our local construction-related firms to expand their business overseas, especially in South Asian and the Middle Eastern regions. You will be assisting senior officers to execute business development and international outreach programmes for a particular country or region. This will include maintaining project and contact databases, arranging project meetings and site visits, drafting promotional and marketing brochures, and other related work. Travel may be required.

    Requirements

    • A polytechnic diploma in any field.
    • At least 3 - 5 years related experience, preferably in business development related to construction.
    • Good writing, communication and interpersonal skills.
    • Able to multi-task in a fast-paced environment.
    • Ability to read and speak foreign languages is an added advantage.

    Successful candidates will be offered contract employment. The remuneration package offered shall commensurate with qualification and experience.
