 The BCA Green Mark Scheme was launched in January 2005 as an initiative to shape a more environmentally friendly and sustainable built environment.
During the BCA Awards ceremony in May 2011, BCA gave out 162 Green Mark Awards and launched the Green Mark for Existing Residential Buildings. As of Apr 2011, there are more than 750 Green Mark building projects in Singapore.
