How It All Started

The Construction Industry Scholarship scheme was formulated to attract and support a new generation of top-notch construction professionals essential for the development of the construction industry. Coordinated by the BCA and sponsored by leading construction organisations, the scheme seeks to nurture young talents for a rewarding career in this industry.

Since the scheme's inauguration in 1993 to date, a total of 185 scholarships were awarded for studies of construction-related courses at the local tertiary institutions by 81 leading construction organisations.

This year, another 9 degree scholarships were being contributed by 6 leading organisations for the 2007 BCA-Construction Industry Scholarships to secure young talents for the construction industry.
