Supervision of Metal Scaffold Erection

INTRODUCTION

Metal scaffolding systems are now widely used in the construction industry. With increased use of such systems, they should be properly erected and supervised to prevent accidents.

Under the Factories (Scaffolds) Regulations, the supervisors and erectors are required to undergo training courses which are approved by the Chief Inspector from the Ministry of Manpower (MOM).

The BCA Academy, the training arm of the Building and Construction Authority (BCA), conducts the Supervision of Metal Scaffold Erection Course which is approved by MOM.

SPUR GRANT

• 90% of the fee payable will be supported under SPUR

OBJECTIVE

This course provides training in the knowledge and skills required in the supervision of metal scaffold erection.
