Building Construction Supervisors Safety Course (BCSS)
INTRODUCTION
Safety is of primary importance to contractors working on construction sites. A contractor which adopts good safety measures will reap the benefits in several areas. He will reduce the cost of compensation to injured workers. He will lose fewer man-hours and will be able to complete projects on schedule with minimal work stoppage. Safety on site also improves staff morale, improves staff relationships, and enhances the security of families and the community.
BCA conducts this course to help contractors maintain good safety practices on sites. This course is approved by the Ministry of Manpower (MOM) for Building Construction Safety Supervision.
This programme will benefit construction managers, site supervisors, project co-ordinators and clerks-of-Works.
SPUR GRANT
• 90% of the fee payable will be supported under SPUR
OBJECTIVE
At the end of the course, the participant should be familiar with:-
• the safety hazards in the construction industry; and
• the preventive measures for safe work.
