3DS MAX FUNDAMENTALS
INTRODUCTION
Developers in the building industry require fast and accurate information for decision making. It is important for designers to be able to present their design proposal in a realistic and interactive way. Their clients would be able to visualise the design forms instantly and make sound decision. Therefore, it would be a great competitive edge for a designer to be able to generate 3D building models and interactive presentation for his design proposal.
This course is specially designed for interior designers, assistant architects and draughtsmen with some IT skills and knowledge in computer-aided drawing. It is to equip them with the skills in preparing 3D building drawings and interactive presentation.
COURSE OBJECTIVES
At the end of the course, the participants would have acquired the skills in using 3Ds Max software to create:
~3D architectural models; and
~Photo realistic images, interactive animation and walk through.
COURSE CONTENTS
Generation of 3D architectural models
~Explain the user interface of 3Ds Max software application
~Create various geometrical objects and shapes
~Modify 3D objects and shapes into architectural models
Material Editing
~Assign and modify materials and maps to architectural models
Lighting and Camera
~Assign lighting scene to architectural models
~Positioning camera to capture scene of architectural models
Animation
~Set animation to architectural models and scene
~Render 3D scene to produce photo realistic images and animated movies.
ENTRY REQUIREMENTS
The applicant must at least have 'O' Level / NITEC or equivalent with some Computer-Aided Drafting background.

CERTIFICATION
Participants who have attended at least 75% of the training sessions and passed the end of course assessment will be issued with the Certificate of Successful Completion (CSC).
