PREFAB Architecture
PREFAB Architecture is a joint publication by BCA and SIA. It features prefabricated solutions for buildings, especially residential developments, with local and overseas examples.
Structural Precast Concrete Handbook (2nd Edition)
The publication of this Handbook aims to provide the engineering profession with a wider understanding of the procedures of precast concrete structural design. Besides serving as a useful guide and source of information, the Handbook will be particularly valuable to engineers who are less familiar with precast concrete design and construction for buildings. The design methods and approaches in the Handbook are based on Singapore Standard on Code of Practice for Structural Use of Concrete - CP65 : 1999. This Handbook is developed largely based on our local experience with reference to relevant overseas practices.

Modular Coordination Guide
The objective of this publication is to introduce the concepts of modular coordination and its benefits to designers. At the same time, it gives practical advices on the application of modular coordination using actual projects as examples. The recommended modules in this publication take into consideration the feedback from the industry. The needs for flexibility in design and the sub-module have been taken into consideration.

Guide to Precast Concrete and Prefabricated Reinforcement for Buildings,
May 1997
This Guide aims to familiarise developers and architects with the flexibility and benefits of using precast concrete components and prefabricated reinforcement. Standardisation of sizes of commonly used prefabricated components will encourage wider application and help to make their production more economical. This Guide has therefore incorporated a catalogue of recommended structural building components which would meet the needs of most of our buildings.

Raising Singapore's Construction Productivity, September 1992
The increase in construction activity in the early 90s and its attendant need for more manpower brought the issue of construction productivity into focus. This report covers the issues and factors affecting construction productivity, and the potential and directions for improvement. It will help in understanding the productivity issue better.

Prefabricated Reinforcement Handbook, November 1997
This Handbook is another effort by the industry to help engineers increase the buildability of their designs. It identifies the areas where prefabricated reinforcement can be used and promotes the use of standardised meshes and cages. The Handbook helps engineers by providing necessary design tables, construction details where relevant and annotations of prefabricated reinforcement. Some design examples are also provided.

Reference Guide on Standard Prefricated Building Components
This Reference Guide is a design tool for designers (including developers, architects, engineers, contractors, precasters, etc.), who may, from time to time, need to make reference to the dimensions and connection details of standard prefabricated building components commonly used and specified by the industry. It describes the applications of standard prefabricated building components, which are being adopted by the industry.

A Resource Book for Structural Steel Design & Construction
This publication discusses concept of steelwork design and construction. Several prestigious steel projects in Singapore are presented in this publication to provide a source of information, which is particularly valuable to engineers who are keen to find out more about the modern steel technology. This publication is jointly published by the Singapore Structural Steel Society and the Building and Construction Authority.

Guide to the Buildable Design Appraisal System
This guide explains the method for computing the buildability score using the Buildable Design Appraisal System. Interpretation on the terms and methods of measurement / computation are given to ensure that the buildability scores are computed in a consistent manner. Examples of buildable design scoring are also given to illustrate the computation sequence and methodology.

Buildable Solutions for High-Rise Residential Development
This publication is a joint effort and collaboration between BCA and a group of private practitioners. It highlights salient issues involved in the use of precast concrete components; with specific mention of in-situ flat plate or precast floor slab with precast facade system as buildable solutions for high rise residential developments. It outlines planning and design process as well as practical considerations that one should be familiar with when dealing with precast concrete components. Good examples of local high-rise building projects were also documented for reference.
