Demolition Protocol

The Demolition Protocol is a set of procedures to help demolition contractors better plan their demolition procedures so as to maximise recovery of waste materials for beneficial reuse/recycling. This protocol has also been incorporated into the new standard SS 557: Code of Practice for Demolition.

Demolition contractors are encouraged to adopt the protocol for their projects and be familiarised with it.

The protocol comprises the following elements: pre-demolition audit, sequential demolition and site waste management. Please refer to the following links for more details:

For Green Mark assessment and application to SC Fund, demolition contractors are required to submit the pre-demolition audit form (swmp.pdf) to BCA before any demolition works are carried out.
