BCA launched the UD Explorers Programme in 2015 as part of its continuous efforts to reach out to the younger audiences. The programme aims to educate as well as enhance the awareness and interests of primary school students on the applications of UD in the built environment and its effects on people’s daily lives. In doing so, BCA hopes to reinforce the message of how UD can help bring about a more inclusive Singapore.

This year, selected accessibility features will be condensed, fitted, and travelled to primary schools in a specially converted vehicle.

UD Explorers on Wheels will be launched on 29 July at CHIJ Primary (Toa Payoh), as part of the Singapore Universal Design Week 2016. Mr Chee Hong Tat, Minister of State, Ministry of Communications and Information & Ministry for Health, will grace the occasion as Guest-of-Honour.
