Authorised Analyst Scheme

1. General

1.1 The Authorised Analyst (AA) Scheme is established under section 31M of the BCA (Act) to designate any person or bodies of persons as authorised analysts to carry out test on imported sand and granite (refer to Sampling and Evaluation of Sand and Granite). The AA designation is valid for 1 year.

1. Qualifications, etc for Designation as an AA

Any person or body of persons wish to be designated as an AA must satisfy Regulation 28 (1) & (3) of the Building and Construction Authority (Importers’ Licensing) Regulations 2011.

2. Application Form for Designation as an AA
• Application for Individual person (Form AA1)
• Application for body of persons, i.e. laboratories (Form AA2)

2. Application Fee for Designation as an AA

• There is no application fee for applying for designation as an AA.
