# VAP improvement refers to year-on-year changes in labour productivity published by Singapore Department of Statistics (DOS). A negative figure denotes deterioration in VAP while a positive figure denotes an improvement in VAP.
*2010 VAP figure is estimated based on real construction GDP and total construction employment (as at Jun 2010) published by DOS and MOM respectively. VAP figures for other years are derived using the 2010 BCA’s estimated VAP figure adjusted with the yearly VAP improvement figures published by DOS.
