iBuildSG ITE Scholarship (full-time)

What is it?

The iBuildSG ITE Scholarship programme is offered by BCA, in collaboration with industry firms, to students of high calibre pursuing full-time Built Environment (BE) courses at the ITE colleges.

The ITE Scholarship programme is structured in two stages:

  • Stage 1 (Full-time Study) provides financial incentives during ITE study
  • Stage 2 (Post-ITE Development) provides a clear progression path and attractive salary for ITE graduates

Stage 1 (Full-Time ITE Study)

  • The sponsor firm will pay a minimum of $2,800 per ITE Scholarship, i.e. minimum of $1,400 per year per scholar for two years.
  • The co-sponsored scholar will be bonded to the sponsor firm for two years.
  • BCA have full discretion on the maximum number of ITE Scholarship(s) which it will co-fund with the sponsor firm

Stage 2 (Post-ITE Development)

  • The sponsor firm will pay a minimum basic monthly salary of $1,850 in the first year, $2,050 in the second year and $2,350 in the third year to the ITE graduate.
  • Upon the completion of the bond, participants will receive $3000 training grant to upskill their competencies under the Stage 2 programme.
  • If participants remain one additional year in the sector, they can receive $7000 retention incentive.
  • The sponsoringfirm will provide the employee with a structured On-Job-Training (OJT) and an upgrading opportunity through BCA-approved part-time training courses.

BCA will provide an incentive of $5,000 per year per ITE graduate in Stage 2, to the sponsor firl, subject to fulfilment of Stage 2 terms and conditions.

  • Higher NITEC in Civil & Structural Engineering Design
  • Higher NITEC in Electrical Engineering
  • Higher NITEC in Facility Systems Design
  • Higher NITEC in Facility Management
  • Higher NITEC in Mechanical Engineering
  • Higher NITEC in Architectural Technology (previously known as Higher NITEC in Space Design Technology)
  • NITEC in Electrical Technology (Power & Control)
  • NITEC in Built Environment (Mechanical & Electrical Services) (restructured from NITEC in Facility Technology (Air-Conditioning & Refrigeration) and NITEC in Facility Technology (Mechanical & Electrical Services))
  • NITEC in Built Environment (Vertical Transportation) (previously known as NITEC in Facility Technology (Vertical Transportation)
  • NITEC in Mechanical Technology
  • NITEC in Architectural Technology (previously known as NITEC in Space Design (Architecture))
  • NITEC in Interior and Exhibition Design (previously known as NITEC in Space Design (Interior & Exhibition))

For direct entry into Stage 2: ITE graduates who could be new recruits or the firms' existing employees, and are less than 12 months after graduation from ITE or after their Operationally-Ready Date (ORD).

How much?

Stage 1 (Full-Time ITE Study):

  • The sponsor firm will pay a minimum of $2,800 per ITE Scholarship, i.e. minimum of $1,400 per year per scholar for two years. BCA will contribute the rest of the scholarship sum.

Stage 2 (Post-ITE Development):

  • The sponsor firm will pay a minimum basic monthly salary of $1,850 in the first year, $2,050 in the second year and $2,350 in the third year to the ITE graduate.
  • The sponsor firm will enrol and co-sponsor the ITE graduate in BCA-approved part-time training courses.
  • BCA will provide an incentive of $5,000 per year per ITE graduate in Stage 2, to the sponsor firm, subject to fulfilment of Stage 2 terms and conditions.
